Feeling home in Austria
Living, working and moving in Austria
Moving to a new country as Austria can be challenging and overwhelming. Often it's the unsaid that make it difficult - the things that are assumed that everybody knows.

How and where to make friends?
How taxes and health work?
How to find work or a flat?

What's often not immediately apparent is that these aspects are deeply rooted in the local culture and can vary significantly from one country to another. Moving to a new country requires a lot of courage. Let me help you by teaching you the core lessons of how to master life in Austria and avoid (expensive) mistakes.

Offers for companies
Hiring the best candidate for a position sometimes means hiring outside of Austria's borders. An international team brings many benefits and allows for thinking outside of the box.

While employers mainly cover the legal aspects of moving to Austria and focus on work-related topics during the onboarding process, newly migrated employees often struggle with life outside of working hours.

To bridge this gap, I conduct dedicated sessions during or outside the onboarding process and offer special prices for companies funding individual classes for their employees.
About
From scientist to teacher
For over 15 years, I have been involved in teaching and promoting intercultural understanding. Having lived in Germany, Austria, the United States, and Chile, and having chaired the NPO "YFU Austria - interkultureller Austausch" for over six years, I understand the challenges of building a life abroad, as well as the role of employers.
The idea for these courses emerged during my PhD in Molecular Biology at the Vienna BioCenter. Observing how many of my international colleagues struggled with issues like insurance, taxes, or establishing a life outside of work, inspired the creation of formal courses on how to thrive in Austria.
